Ack E-04 406/121.5 mhz ELT Mounted

Got the ELT mounted today. Just two pieces of flat stock aluminum across the bottom stiffeners with 4 nutplates to attach the tray. Waiting on a wire order for the power, ground and GPS serial feed run to the front.

Fuel Line Mod

Modified the fuel line under the seats from the tunnel. I didn’t like the hard line running from the tunnel to the side of the fuselage directly to the wing. I changed it to a -6 flex line from Bonaco. It runs from the tunnel to a 45 degree bulkhead. From there it will be [...]

More Andair Fuel Valve

Finished up mounting the Andair fuel valve. Added the extension which is needed to bring it up from the now standard lower mounting location up to the tunnel.

Rear Seat Backs

Completed the rear seat backs. These will be light gray leather after upholstery and padding.

Control Sticks

Control sticks completed with linkages to elevator and ailerons.

Rudder and Brake Pedals

Finished up the rudder and brake pedals. Replaced all the brake lines with some nice stainless steel braided teflon lines from Bonaco. Just need to tie up the lines, but these have to be pulled out to paint the interior so that will wait.

Fuel Lines

Finished up the fuel lines connecting everything today. First the fuel line running from the tunnel out to each wing root. Then each tank up to the selector valve and out to the filter. Check line from the valve to pump. (center valve to right side of pump in this pic) And lastly the line [...]

Fuel Valve, Filter and Pump

Worked on the fuel system today. Added a mounting plate on top of the existing plate to accommodate mounting the Andair valve. Also mounted the fuel filter and pump. Still need to run some fuel lines.

Brake Lines

Worked on the brake lines this weekend. Added the Matco parking brake into the mix. Still need to torque everything down once my EZTurn fuel lube order gets here.

Rear Floors and Seats

Finished up the rear floors. These were a bit tough to get in place so I final drilled, dimpled, primed the underside and added nutplates while they were out. I then primed the topside after they were in. Also finished riveting the rear seat pans.
